Why We Exist
Uplift Services Limited was founded in 2024 by Shepherd Mulwanda and Barth Kapepula — two technologists who had watched good Zambian businesses, government agencies, and NGOs settle for less: imported software that ignored local payment rails, off-the-shelf platforms with no ZRA or PACRA integration, and IT support that treated Lusaka as an afterthought.
We started Uplift to close that gap — not by reselling another template, but by building a local team capable of doing the work end-to-end: infrastructure, cybersecurity, custom software, and the creative identity to go with it. "One partner, full spectrum" was never a slogan. It's the reason the company exists.
That principle still drives every engagement today — whether it's a university's learning platform, a bank's cloud migration, or an NGO's first cybersecurity policy. We measure ourselves by outcomes our clients can point to, not hours billed.
“We didn't want to be another vendor. We wanted to be the partner Zambian organisations could actually rely on — end to end.”
